About Me

cry, I laugh, I plead, I celebrate. Come
and dream with me!”
 Welcome
to my website. I am an Asian
bellydancer! My love of dance has been a journey covering
half the world. While I immersed myself in styles of dance
from ballet and modern to ballroom and latin along the way, I found my
true artistic home in oriental bellydance. During my travels
through the Middle East (Egypt, Turkey, Jordan, Israel), I
studied bellydance with various world-renowned teachers. I am
also an accomplished educator myself – with a Ph.D.
in education – and teach bellydance (and mathematics!) at the
City
College of San Francisco. With my strong
passion and talent for working with people, my
performances at local San Francisco venues such as Tagine, Casablanca
Café,
Marrakech, Pride of the Mediterranean, Pasha, El Mansour, Medjool, New
Delhi,
and Pena Pachamama
showcase a unique fusion of styles and influences that only someone of
my background can provide.
